Interesting juxtaposed percussion and system rifle by Lepage - Lot 75
Interesting juxtaposed percussion and system rifle by Lepage in Paris. Table barrels of 750mm long in 14 gauge per pound in chocolate damask. Packet tempered, bronzed trigger guard. When one arms the hammers, one can release the blow only after having gripped firmly the handle of the rifle and erased a safety located on the tail of trigger guard, and only after having shouldered the weapon, a large push-piece located at the center of the buttplate must also be inserted to allow the release of the blow. This mechanism is locked in the locked position by means of a push-button located in the stock spout. Rosewood ramrod, stock varnished and requadrilled in a very nice way. Perfectly restored weapon, re-tanned and re-patterned, of a very great interest for collectors of French hunting weapons of the 19th century.
