National Guard grenadier officer Shako, circa 1840. Cylindrical barrel made of dark taupe cardboard. Two stamped chinstones in silver plated copper, grenade and hunting horn tourrillon. Black lower band. Large upper band in silver braid with herringbone decoration. Tricolor embossed fabric cockade. Round leather visor, green interior. The headdress is missing. Repairs, chinstrap leather broken but present. Silver plated copper shako plate model 1837 to be refixed. Missing pompom. (2-)
