Large primitive flintlock pistol early 18th century by Conda - Lot 233
Large primitive flintlock pistol early 18th century by Condamine as evidenced by the signature on the platinum body. Flat lock body, flat gooseneck hammer, forged brass barrel, battery spring screwed from the inside. All bronze fittings, typical very flat trigger guard. Cap with two long ears. Crowned thumb piece with a senestrogyr profile of a helmeted character. Round barrel, flat top band, in 30 cal. per pound caliber. Total length of 500mm including 315mm of barrel. Dark walnut frame, discreetly set on the barrel at half its length. Functional mechanism. (2).
