Officer's saber of light cavalry, Consulate period. Flat blade, rush back, engraved in the third of the blade with a trophy of arms, a charging hussar and a wreath of foliage. Reinforced counter-edge in relief with two sides in the last quarter of the blade measuring 760mm. Bronze mounting. Pommel decorated with a crown of laurel leaves. Cap with short tail. Single guard limb arched at the pommel, the limb then has a concave lip running along its front face. Quillon arched towards the front with floral termination. Two escutcheons (mounts) forming a cover with profiles of warriors in the antique style. Walnut spindle, squared side, obverse and reverse grooved along the length. In its iron sheet metal scabbard with three brass fittings. Brass bowl. Two bronze rings decorated with warriors' heads in the antique style, bearing a piton and two bronze rings.
