Superb Ottoman yatagan. Strong blade with broadened flat back, arched forward, inlaid with repetitive motifs on a gilded background. Embossed bronze leaf covering the back of the blade at the start. The weapon is plate-mounted with two superb fossil ivory plates. The sides of the sole plate are covered with a brass band. In its leather-covered wood-cored scabbard with two brass trimmings, zoomorphic-terminated bolt tip. Chappe à ressouder. Total length : 860mm
