Beautiful Spanish single-shot shotgun with patilla mechanism. Smooth barrel caliber 22 rounds to the pound (1802), 900 mm long, octagonal at the half and round at the top. Iron front sight with very slightly flared muzzle, beautifully finished in white mined amati, with gold tausia markings on the sides: "EN LA VILLA DE EIBAR" on the left side. "JUAN ESTEBAN DE BUSTINDUI" (BUSTINDUI Juan Esteban 1780/1820) on the upper side and "ANO DE M.D.C.C.C.II" (1802) on the right side. Iron-mounted weapon, very fine engraved and chased palm rest trigger guard, with gilded hallmark and front foot engraved with a blossoming flower, front of the trigger guard in the form of a flaming urn. Beautifully crafted and perfectly polished lock, nose of the main spring under the hammer body broken, blocking the hammer in position. Edge of lock marked "EN EIBAR" in capital letters. Marked by the master lockmaker GABIOALA (JUAN ESTEBAN 1790/1810). Beautiful blond varnished walnut frame, extending to the muzzle secured to the barrel by two fittings forming a mouthpiece and a flat steel band nasturtium with openwork decoration and held in place by pins. The specifically Spanish-shaped stock features a discreet upper cheekpiece on both sides and a concave underside. All-wood frame reinforced with a discreet steel plate. Non-functioning mechanism.
