Composite flintlock rifle, lock marked "Maubeuge Manufacture Nationale", battery without frame. Weapon mounted in iron, fittings held in place by pins. Iron muzzle, brass front sight. Barrel marked in cursive M1777 and dated 1807 (?). Barrel length (985mm) corresponds roughly to the barrel length of a cadet gentleman's rifle. Probably assembled during the Restoration for the Garde Nationale. Functional mechanism. (Condition 2)
