Ecuelle à oreilles and its lid in silver. The rimmed ears are chased with scrolling foliage and a head in profile. The double-doubled lid is edged with gadroons, and the radiating knob-shaped handle is adorned with an antique-style profile of a woman's head. Paris, 1723 Partial goldsmith's hallmark on the rim of the lid and on the two lugs of the bowl. Weight : 630 g. Diameter without ears: 16 cm. (Slight dents throughout).
