Original Japanese Kabuto. Made from two crossed lacquered steel bands that cross at the top (without tehen no ana), the side bands are hinged. A mesh braid reinforced with steel squares completes the protection. This composition of alternating mesh and lacquered steel rectangles extends down to the neck and shoulders. The interior is lined with pale blue cheesecloth, a short red lacquered visor completes the protection, and the main band bears a half-faded gold crescent moon (Condition 2+).
