Caucasian flintlock pistol as also used by Cossacks. Long, smooth-bore 15 mm caliber barrel (26 bullets per pound) fixed to the frame by two smooth, narrow steel rings. The top of the barrel has a fine gutter ending in an elongated teardrop in relief, serving as front sight and decoration. A recessed punch with a brass leaf on the bottom bears a signature that is difficult to decipher. A simple but good-quality morlac lock, held to the frame by two lock screws not secured in place by any counter lock. A long flange with a mixed function (hammer flange and battery flange) is stamped. Ball trigger, smooth walnut frame, smooth boxwood cap ball (one crack). A few smooth or engraved silver leaves decorate the frame on the cap or breech extension. Hard mechanism. Length 415mm. (Condition 2)
