Curious flintlock pistol. Smooth octagonal then round damascus barrel, caliber 38 per pound. Brass-foil-covered breech. Arched frame reinforced at the grip with a brass leaf protecting the sides of the frame at the breech tail and extending down to the cap. Oval cap, brass embouchoir cut in a brace. Round platinum body, round gooseneck hammer, brass bassinet, light with gilded metal grain. Smooth walnut frame extending to the muzzle. Iron trigger guard. Total length: 350mm. With a later iron rod. Functional mechanism. (1)
