Light spotting in lower right-hand corner of main text. SECOND EDITION of this CELESTIC ATLAS comprising an illustrated title and 34 copper-engraved MAPS. The first edition was published in 1782, based on Flamsteed's 1776 French atlas, with the same order, format and constellation figures, but with newly engraved plates. This 1805 atlas is distinguished by the addition of many more stars, with plates visibly much richer than those of Flamsteed's Fortin edition. ATTACHED: Facsimile reprint of the 1782 edition of Bode's atlas, with title and 34 color plates. Provenance: Philippe Véron collection. SET OF 2 BOOKS.
