Italian-style in-4 album, illustrated and decorated black lacquer boards, ribbed spines decorated with gilt roulette, gilt edges (Binding of the period); (27) cardboard ff. Spine rubbed, compartment at head of spine missing, headbands missing, upper jaw largely split. 50 ALBUMINATED PRINTS (26 X 20 cm approx.) enhanced with watercolors pasted onto card boards, all mounted on tabs. They are by photographer David WELSH, stamped in violet ink "D. Welsh & Co, Yokohama" in the upper corner of the 1st counterplate. He operated his own photo studio in Yokohama (Japan) from 1890 to 1892. The photographs are captioned in English below the image: 100 steps at Yokohama - View of Bund, at Yokohama - View of Yokohama - Railway station at Yokohama - Etc.
