Superb cassette containing two Belgian-made revolvers on the model of the Colt 1851 Navy caliber 36. Revolvers manufactured in Liege around 1865 by the house Gilon which signed its fabrications "COLT BREVETE". Revolvers bearing on the dish of the octagonal barrels in gold stick letters the signature of the retailer "Duchesnay à Yvetot" Arms number 7355 and 7356 respectively. Beautiful engravings of floral scrolls running along the frame, the barrel and the rear half of the barrel. Brass trigger guard with remainder of silvering and beautiful engraving, the barrels carry the punches (ELG) of the bench of test of Liege.Beautiful plates of stick out of squared ebony way grain of powder and lower frieze of foliage.Functional mechanisms.Blue screw tail of peacock. The case in rosewood veneer with crest and double brass fillet on the lid contains, mounted in the French style on a bed of pale red velvet, in addition to the two revolvers, a removable lead ladle, two bullet molds with double cavities marked Colt Patent and bearing the respective numbers of the 2 revolvers, a non-conforming chimney remover with black wooden handle, a screwdriver also with a black handle and blade too wide for all the screws, an oiler, a rod, a powder flask in embossed copper and an oiler. Very beautiful work of quality in a remarkable state of conservation, only one of the revolver saw its bronzing deteriorated on a face of the barrel without that not harming the esthetics of the unit.
